This is the first time an Indian game is being developed along with an Indian movie. Most of the games produced to date have been mobile games or flash based ones but a full fledged, movie based game however, comes in a different league altogether.

The Idea and making are stupendous as Indian market is high in Multimedia and creativity but the main aspect of creating a game is to sell it, which is the only drawback of this gaming idea as we all know how poor is the PC gaming market of India.

The overall gaming market which includes console gaming as well as pc gaming has been affected by Piracy and it will take a decade to overcome it. So even though the Idea of Ghajini the game is a good one we have to wait whether it satisfies the gamers around the globe?

Take-Two Interactive, has lost 40 percent of its share price in a month, going from $21.77 to $13.01.

Electronic Arts' abandonment of its Take-Two takeover bid, which was $26 per share at its highest point.

EA was also a big loser during the Sept. 9-Oct. 9 period. Despite a recent spate of hits such as Spore and Warhammer Online, the publisher's stock value has shrunk 37 percent over the month, going from $44.21 to $27.80. More alarming is the fact that EA's stock value has nose-dived 53 percent in the past year, having been worth $59.94 on October 9, 2007.

THQ, which shed 39 percent of its value, sinking from $13.83 to $8.34. Over the past year, the WWE SmackDown and Saints Row 2 publisher has lost 68 percent of its value.

Activision Blizzard, which shaved 28 percent--$4.67--off of its shares during the month, ending at $11.95.

Things were also tough for companies with major game interests, such as the two console companies traded on US stock markets. On the NASDAQ, Xbox 360 maker Microsoft lost $3.80 (14 percent) during the month to close at $22.30, down from $30.10 a year ago. On the NYSE, Sony Corp. fared worse, suffering an $11.91 monthly drop (33 percent), to end up at $23.51.

Arnold in a Terminator Sequel?

We all know that a sequel of the Blockbuster Terminator movie series in under production. It is also rumored that the Terminator, Arnold himself will appear as the T-800 robot in this 4th edition of the Terminator series. The photo above in which Christian Bale has been photographed actually standing in somewhat close proximity to Arnold, at some country-club.

Their source says the photo is proof that Arnold’s face will be digitally super-imposed onto the body of Roland Kickinger, the guy who back in July claimed he had been hired to play a Arnold’s T-800 robot from the original Terminator movie.

But it is all being refused from the side of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is busy with his political work.

But If Arnold really acts in that movie, then it will be a historic one.

The Mega Star of the Galaxy

Canadian scientists have discovered the most massive star so far in the Milky Way.

Researchers from Montreal University in collaboration with an international team of astrophysicists, have found that the super-massive star has a mass 116 times that of the sun.

Though theoretical models of stellar formation hint at the possibility of stars that can be 150 times the mass of the sun, no star 100 times the mass of the sun has been discovered yet.

The researchers Olivier Schnurr, Jules Casoli and Andr -Nicolas Chen , Anthony Moffat and Nicole St-Louis discovered the super-massive star in the company of yet another massive star whose mass is also 89 times that of the sun.

These two massive stars form a binary system, with the lighter star waltzing around its heavier companion. They have a rotation period of 3.77 days.

Located in the massive star cluster NGC 3603 of the Milky Way, the super-massive two-star binary system has been named A1, a university statement said.

The two stars are so massive and bright that the light they transmit shows characteristics that only Wolf-Rayet stars possess.

A Wolf-Rayet star is a hot, massive and evolved star exhibiting a very high loss of mass due to a strong stellar wind (similar to the solar wind), the statement said.

Hip Hop artist Akon's manager is in Mumbai (INDIA). And he is here with a message for A R Rahman. Akon's manager boarded the flight from Boston to Mumbai a few days ago.

One of Rahman's sources said to Squaky, "Akon is quite impressed by Indian music especially the bhangra songs, which are in vogue these days. Considering the popularity of Indian music, Akon has expressed a desire to sing Punjabi songs, Hip Hop and R&B for his Indian fans. And he'd like to work with Rahman whose work he really admires."

As soon as he decided to work with A R Rahman, Akon sent his manager and partner to discuss and finalise a few projects, which the singer and composer can work together on. And that's not all.

"Given Akon's popularity, a pivotal player like Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) is also in talks with Akon. ADAG will soon be flying off to the US to have a meeting with Akon," said the source.

"Akon's manager had a fruitful discussion with Rahman. Rahman will soon meet Akon in Atlanta to finalise an action plan. They have a few things in mind that will be executed soon. Akon is also looking forward to working with solo singers like Blaaze, Sonu Nigam, Lucky Ali and cut more albums for Indian audiences," added the source.

London, Sept 21 : A Britain man has been living the past 10 months without cash only to see if it is possible to live in a cashless society.

The pledge of not using use any currency with the Queen's head on it, including notes, coins and even stamps for a year after a drunken bet made by James Allen last December in a pub that did not accept cards.

A web content editor by profession, Allan said that he wanted to see if it was possible to live a cash-free life, although he admitted that he thought his friend was the subject of the bet and not himself.

He only used credit and debit cards to buy goods and services.

"It was all right at first because I had a very supportive girlfriend who bailed me out, but when the relationship went awry in January, I realised how difficult it was going to be," the Telegraph quoted Allan, as saying.

The 25-year-old Briton did face some low points, including not being able to use supermarket trolleys because they require a 1 pound coin to unlock them, and having to walk past a 50 pounds note he found lying in the street.

He was also forced to walk 10 miles across London one night because he could not find anywhere to top up his Oyster card, while he has often had to make extra purchases in corner shops to meet the minimum 5 pound-spend needed to pay by card.

Another problem arose when he needed to put down 800 pound cash deposit on his accommodation, and he had to get his mother to come down from Oxford to handle the transaction for him.

Allan said he was likely to continue to live without cash when the year comes to an end.

"I keep changing my mind but I find money unbelievably vulgar now. It is filthy and dirty and I have really gone off it," he said to SQUAKY.

Plug-in that turns any website 3D for free

MELBOURNE software company ExitReality has launched a bid to bring 3D virtual reality to "the entire World Wide Web" and extend the commercialisation of an environment that attracts hundreds of millions of people under 35 years old.

"It's where they do their socialising today," founder and chief executive Danny Stefanic said.

Mr Stefanic said his "Eureka moment" came 13 years ago. "I was reading in the bath when the idea came to me," he said. Mr Stefanic was 23 and had already been involved with computing, software development and 3D virtualisation for more than a decade. He formed ExitReality in 2000 to work on the idea, which he launched at Federation Square yesterday.

The idea is a 3D search engine and a free internet plug-in that enables a user to, for instance, turn a two-dimensional Facebook page into a three-dimensional "apartment" in which their virtual alter egos live.

Mr Stefanic said that environment existed only on their computer, but if the Facebook user logged in to a furniture company's website and rendered it on their screens into a 3D website using his free technology, they could drag and drop images of chairs, tables and so on to furnish their Facebook-based apartment.

"If they then click on the piece of furniture, they would be linked to the furniture company's website, where they could make a real-life purchase," he said.

They could use YouTube to bring video shows into their virtual homes but probably would not turn purely informational websites such as online newspapers into 3D representations, he said.

But they could use chat rooms to bring friends into their virtual homes and, if they visited websites where many people might be visiting in 3D, they would be introduced to virtual rooms where up to 50 people could interact in real time.

Mr Stefanic said ExitReality's technology had the power to create 40 billion virtual worlds. The internet already had a few 3D websites but his idea was to allow almost any website to be rendered in 3D.

Deals had been struck with a few companies — among them is Carl's Jr., a hamburger chain in the US — and ExitReality "will be announcing some other major deals very soon", Mr Stefanic said.

Two featherless chickens peck around in some grass at the Hebrew University in Rehovot. Israeli scientists at the Agriculture department of the university have genetically engineered bare-skinned chickens as part of a research project to develop succulent, low fat poultry that is environmentally friendly.

The U.S. government will start considering industry proposals to sell genetically engineered animals as human food.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Thursday a government review will ensure that such animals are safe to eat.

Genetically engineered animals are created when scientists insert a gene from one species of animal into the DNA of another animal to reprogam some of its characteristics.

For example, fish could be made to grow faster, or hens could be made to lay heart-healthier eggs.

It's unclear how consumers will react to such animals, even with a government seal of approval.

In May of this year, A CBS News/New York Times Poll found that 53 percent of Americans said they wouldn't buy genetically altered food. But as CBS News chief investigative correspondent Armen Keteyian reported then, it's hard to avoid such foods because the FDA does not require manufacturers to label products that contain modified ingredients.

For example, today, more than 90 percent of the U.S. soybean crop is genetically modified - had its DNA altered to increase production and withstand chemical weed killers. And nearly three-quarters of all corn planted in the U.S. is genetically modified.

"The terminology that's used to talk about this, to describe this technology is frightening to consumers, they've told us that," Lisa Katic of the Grocery Manufacturers of America told to Squaky. "What we are opposed to or against are labels that could potentially misinform or mislead them."

Indian-Style Vegetable Rice

"This is a standard Indian pilaf dish with a slight twist. The combination of colorful vegetables and aromatic spices make this dish very tasty!"

INGREDIENTS

* 3 tablespoons corn oil
* 1 onion, finely chopped
* 1 clove garlic, minced
* 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
* 3 whole cloves
* 1 cup long grain rice
* 4 cups water
* 1 tablespoon salt, or to taste
* 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
* 1 cup chopped fresh broccoli
* 1/2 cup corn kernels
* 1/2 cup fresh green beans, cut into 1 inch pieces
* 1/2 carrot, chopped
* 1/4 cup water
* 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
* 1 1/2 tablespoons ground black pepper
* 1/4 cup roasted cashews
* 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

DIRECTIONS

1. Heat the corn oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in the onion, garlic, red bell pepper, and whole cloves. Cook and stir until the onion has softened and begun to brown, about 10 minutes. Stir in the rice, and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add 4 cups of water, salt, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until the rice is tender, about 20 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, place the broccoli, corn, green beans, carrot, and 1/4 cup water into a microwave-safe bowl. Cover, and cook in the microwave at full power until the vegetables are tender, 2 to 4 minutes depending on the microwave. Once the rice has finished cooking, gently stir the vegetables into the rice along with the turmeric, black pepper, and cashews. Sprinkle with cilantro to serve.

Doomsday collision set for early next week

The first collisions between subatomic particles will take place in the giant Large Hadron Collider (LHC) next week, among fears that it might create a doomsday-like scenario for our planet.

The LHC circulates particles in a 17-mile circumference underground tunnel straddling the French-Swiss border at The European Organization for Nuclear Research, near Geneva, Switzerland, known by the acronym CERN.

According to a report in Telegraph, although there was much uproar last week about the first particles - protons - to whirl around the LHC at a shade under the speed of light, the real aim of the exercise is to bring counter rotating beams of particles into collision in the four "eyes" - detectors - of the machine to recreate conditions not seen since just after the birth of the universe.

This is the aspect of the experiment that has triggered all the angst and hand-wringing by doomsayers and Jeremiahs, who fear that the collisions will mark the end of the world, as it tumbles into the gaping maw of a black hole.

These fears have been dismissed as nonsense by Dr Evans, along with scientists such as Prof Stephen Hawking, who say that the end of the world is not nigh.

The original plan was to take 31 days from the first proton beams circulating in the LHC to smashing protons for the first time.

"We were going along at a real good lick," Dr Evans said of the days after particles first circulated.

But, the cryogenics that keep the great machine cooled went down on Friday, as a result of thunderstorms disrupting the power supply.

"We have had problems with the electricity supply for various reasons and the cryogenics is recovering from that, so we will not have a beam again, probably until Thursday morning," said Dr Evans.

The team now hopes to achieve collisions at between one fifth and one tenth of the full energy in a few days.

"We are very confident that we can go quite quickly. The experiments have asked us for some early collisions, at low energy. If we get stable conditions, we will get there next week," said Dr Evans.

The collisions will take place in the two general purpose detectors of the giant machine, called Atlas and CMS, though Dr Evans added that the team will also attempt collisions in Alice, which will study a "liquid" form of matter, called a quark-gluon plasma, that formed shortly after the Big Bang, and an experiment called LHCb, which will investigate the fate of antimatter in the wake of the Big Bang.
